On my way to work...........

Sometimes I walk to work and sometimes I ride my bike. It is not far fortunately but it is interesting and each day I see different things which catch my eye. Here are a few I noted last week when I had my camera with me.

Top left was the Poultry and Plucking Depot. as a vegetarian you can imagine that I did not go too close but I took this for you. Beside the sign in the crates are loads of birds (I'll try to get a better photo another day!) and this notice which says they will pluck one while I wait. I decided against it but..........thought you'd like to see.

Next photo is just a market view with the washroom sign. I have not yet taken advantage of it but it is there should I need!!!

After that is the tables and benches nicely stacked on the road centre after the Vendors Alley Market Day awaiting the next one. Vendors' Alley is where we get our vegetables and fruit. It is an open air Market on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. It crosses Bourda Market streets (Orange Walk and Bourda Streets) through which I travel.

The last photo is of the clean up which occurs each day after the market and which is getting more regular as we prepare for the World Cup of Cricket next March/April. A big emphasis is now being put on these aspects of daily life (thank goodness) . Garbage is everywhere so it will be good to see it cleaned up and not hav to skirt around it all the time.
