Family Excursion

We spent a wonderful day with the family that was available in Queensland, travelling from Gympie down the Mary Valley to Imbli on a 1928 steam train . It was great fun and gave lots of time for chatting and for me reminiscing about my childhood on steam trains in England - head out of the window and soot in the eyes!!!!
We stopped on our way down for coffee at one station and the village displayed all its local wares for us to purchase ...like honey and cookies and muffins etc. Then on through the countryside to Imbli where we had a lovely picnic lunch and walk around.
The return ride stopped at (the name escapes me) for wine and cheese tasting. It was great tasting all the different cheeses and wines and comparing notes and we arrived home tired and happy for tea at the Watson's before the young people went off for their evening's entertainment.
Here you see from left to right Matthew (Amy's brother visiting from Melbourne), Rory, our nephew; Seanagh, Mick's sister; George her husband; Angus, another nephew; Mick and Amy, Rory's partner. Great time was had by all.
