Homeward bound

So here i am in Caracas, Venezuela, and supposed to be in Trinidad and Tobago!!!

All went well until we hit the Aeropostal counter for our flight and they told us it had been cancelled and we would have to take the one tomorrow. Fortunately after some DISCUSSION we were sent to a hotel in Paracas Macuto on the coast and hopefully we will leave tomorrow as planned. This is a sad place as a lot of SA is outside of the centre and it looks in need of some rebuilding and painting. However we note d the garbage truck working furioously to collect the many bags on the roadside but of course that did nothing for the amount of garbage still lying in the gutters and blown onto the fences.

We had lunch and read and wrote for a while and generally relaxed. The beach turned out to be mainly stones so we just walked along it a ways and headed for the Hotel pool as the heat and humidity hit us after the cool temperatures of Peru and Ecuador. Now we are ready for the final leg of our journey and hope that it is uneventful!
