Local delicacies

Here is one of the many street vendors who ply their wares hoping to catch you when you are hungry and needing a snack or lunch. We stopped last Saturday to see if we could handle any of what was on offer, and as it was lunchtime we settled on homemade Pizza (of course what else would Mick want?), an egg ball with sour ( a hard boiled egg surrounded by cassava and quick deep fried plus a sour sauce) actually it was great. Those of you who know of scotch eggs are on the right track.....and to finish it off we chose Red Cake or Salara as it is called. A bit like a heavy swiss roll. All of this cost an equivalent of C$1.50 so we were pretty pleased especially as it all tasted just fine and we have survived it. We don't need to do it again though.
