Spoke too soon
All set to go on the 14th August and we've just heard that the Guyana elections have been called for August 28th.
This means that all VSOs will not enter the country until October 10th.
Somewhat of a disappointment as we were geared up to leave but our lives are never calm for long.
Monday a dear friend is coming for 6 days to see the Okanagan and........... we have a new plan and are off to Australia for 7 weeks to see Mick's last remaining McGarry aunt who is getting frail and to visit his sister who is now settling there having left Zimbabwe when their farm was seized by Robert Mugabe's government. It will be good to see them all.
So now August 9th is when we are off returning September 29th just in time for a quick turnaround to get to Guyana and start the project there. Will we make it? At this point who knows but the process should be fun.
